Description	In 1943 the Army, in a crude attempt to separate the "loyal" from the "disloyal" evacuees, developed a highly controversial questionnaire. When the questionnaire was used, it created great consternation among the evacuees and resulted in much confusion and anger. Nevertheless, the end result was a transfer of evacuees between the nine centers and the tenth one --Tule Lake -- designated as the center for the "disloyals." Amache sent 125 evacuees to Tule Lake and received 993 from that center. A group of residents from Amache getting on a truck that would take them to Granada and then by train to Tule Lake in September, 1943.
