Description |
This photo is from the 'Photos Fountaingrove 1899' album, which includes a number of portraits of Fountaingrove community members and visitors as well as landscape photos of the estate. Mrs. Requa, a longtime Harrisite, was the wife of James Requa, a banker who joined the Brotherhood. Mrs. Requa also went by the name 'Golden Rose,' which was given to her by Thomas Lake Harris; Harris had a habit of renaming followers. Mr. Requa, for instance, was dubbed 'Steadfast' by Harris.
