has sent out a call to Sonoma
COWlty residents to attend
the February 26 meeting ot the
County Board ot Zoning Adjustment,
according to Miss Ernestine
SmIth, spokesman tor the
group.
According to MissSmith,zoners
will hear a request from
NorthernCalifornla Agrigatesto
erPct a 200 foot tower near Jenner
to be connected to a sea
buoy out trom the mouth at the
river by cable, tnordertodredge
the mouth of the river. A small
bulkhead is plaru!.ed tor the north
entrance otthe river.

the organization and Mrs Virginia
Hecbtman is secretary.

applying is to openthemouthot
the river so that gravel in the
river bedcanbebarged to market.
Miss Smith argued that the
tower arrangement would destroy
the peace and beauty of

trom as far upstream as Duncan
Mills would be dangerous,
and the barges would return
bringing lumber to develop housing
on adjacent slopes owned by
the company. She said the plan
should be studied turther betore
a permit is issued.
