Description	Photographs of the gravestones of 1906 earthquake victims, known and unknown, Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery. A memorial stone stands over the grave of sixteen victims. It lists nine named and four unnamed victims of the earthquake. The gravestone of the Bluth brothers stands next to it. Initials of some of the victims are incised on the flat slabs over the graves . Josephine Boone Ely, born in 1859 in Missouri, was 47. Her son, Marshall, was 17. One John Murphy, born in Massachusetts, was a 40 year old tanner. The other, born in 1844 in Ireland, was a veteran of the Civil War. C. Allen Trudgeon, born in Sonoma County in 1884, was a 22 year old drug clerk. Charles W. Palm, born in 1863, was 43. Nicholas Stampfli, 32, died in the Eagle Hotel. Frank Downing was an employee at the City Stables in Santa Rosa.
