Oakland, California 615 East 18th Street My dear Uncle and Auntie ; We are all O.K. and hope you are the same. But the town is a sight. And San Francisco is in ashes. We can see the city burn from the hill. Every chimney is off of the houses around there but our chimney did not come off. Mrs. Moore's chimney fell in our dining room and broke the window all to pieces even the wood work. Auntie your bank still stands, but it is well cracked up. The schools are all cracked and broken, no school for two weeks. The Oaks is down, Palace
